it comes to nobody's surprise that i really don't want to continue running squarebracket anymore. er, most of you know it as fulptube, but i'm just going to call it squarebracket to avoid any confusion with the original one from ages ago. working on it becomes more and more of a chore as time goes on. what's the point? why do i still run it? i have recently considered shutting it down, but i decided against it because i just know i'm going to bring it back anyways. i think i might have a weird "just let it go bruh" situation but i don't care as long as it's not a burden to keep it afloat.

Today marks the 7th year anniversary of the launch of 2003page. It has been a long time, so long in fact that I am no longer in contact with any of the people who contributed to it. The last people dipped out in 2024. I don't even remember most of the site. All I know is that it had an insane amount of petty drama to the point that there was a splinter site called RetroSite by JarHead. Yes, the same one that's involved with reviving WebTV. RetroSite still exists in some form, but it has since become his personal site. 2003page on the other hand died right around the start of 2021, a few weeks before squareBracket's original PokTube launch.

I'm sure by now you've heard about the rumors that GameStop is trying to take over eBay. You know, the "video game store" that sells merch and Funko Pops and didn't go out of business because of some stupid Reddit stock market fuckery 5 years ago. Yeah, that GameStop. I don't know about company acquisitions or whatever, but I feel like is going to mark the end of eBay as a marketplace. They want eBay because of TCGplayer, which I didn't even know was a thing which eBay owns. Are we about to see the enshittification of a marketplace because of fucking Pokémon cards?

I was recently told on my Discord server that told that BitView has suffered yet another leak. This leak appears to originate from the Sharty and is about 316.5 gigabytes in size. I believe this export originates from a personal backup done by someone over at the "Kolyma Network" when sks and Evie were attempting to buy the site, as it was on the verge of shutting down.
